ARCC Season 2 Preview
09/24/2026
We have some exciting news to share about ARC Championship Season 2!
We are still finalizing our Rules Manuals, but wanted to share the following news ahead of time so you can get a preview and start preparing for the upcoming season.
ARCC 2027 will offer the following events: 3v3, 1v1, ARCTIC, and officially incorporating the Aerial and Dart side competitions.
-
The 3v3 event will feature the Hero, Sentry, and Engineer
-
The 1v1 event will feature the Infantry
-
ARCTIC will feature YOU
-
Aerial will feature the Drone robot(s)
-
Dart will feature the Dart Launcher
Additionally, all mobile ground-based robots will be using the small armor panel.
The Engineer will undergo a major redesign, but will still be a mobile ground-based robot that manipulates game objects with significant impact on the outcome of the game.
We will release v1 of the ARCC 2027 Events Manual, Participant Manual, and Robot Building Specifications by 11/01/2026.
The chief motivation behind these changes is introducing a new engineering challenge (but we don’t like the direction of the Heavy) to keep the competition engaging for veteran teams, while still keeping FPV robot projectile combat as the core part of the game.We want the three robots in 3v3 to present different engineering challenges across software and hardware. With the Infantry, Sentry, and Hero already sharing many design fundamentals, we decided the Engineer was the direction we wanted to go to add a new vector to the 3v3 format while keeping the tactical teamwork on the floor of the field. And with the differences between Infantry and Sentry being almost entirely in software, we're consolidating them; but we are keeping the Infantry in 1v1 to remain a stepping-stone for new teams developing hardware.
